Destined for Glory

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 JOHN 3:2

Isn’t it amazing how the Lord has plans for you long before you were even formed in your mother’s womb? He has said in His Word that soon, you will become a likeness of His Son. This means that you are not an accident. He carefully and intentionally designed you to live a life with a purpose. May you be encouraged today knowing that whatever you’re going through, they are nothing compared to what God has in store for you.

But just because God’s plans are amazing, doesn’t mean it will be easy. While there is a certainty that you will experience glory, your sinful nature can cause you to sin and reject Christ. This will lead to you being lost, hurt, damaged, and broken. In spite of that, God made a way to win your heart. He sent people in your life so you can hear the Gospel and realize that He has made you to be conformed to Christ’s likeness.

I hope today is the day you will find rest in His good, pleasing and perfect will. Even if you are suffering today, there is an assurance of glory in the future. That you will reach the point where you are like Jesus, it has not yet appeared right now, but soon enough, you will experience the joy of what it means to be a child of God.

There are a lot of times when you are in complete awe of Who Jesus Christ is. But what more if you realize that you were made to be like Him? Isn’t it comforting to know that someday, you will have a glorified body and a heart like His? Knowing all these, what then should you worry about today? So now, I hope you find peace in knowing that future glory is promised for you if you belong to Him. Say it with me, “I am destined for glory!”
