Hold a Little Longer

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”” JOSHUA 1:9

Hold a little longer because He didn’t bring you here for nothing. God promises that you will not end up broken and defeated. It may feel like a never-ending battle, but no matter what you’re going through, God prepared something bigger and grander than what you know.

Remind yourself today that God is faithful. He is who He says He is. He never breaks promises. When He says that there is a remarkable reward beyond your understanding, He will fulfill it. But He needs you to trust Him with all your heart in this journey. Hold a little longer; wait as he molds and prepares you for what is about to unfold— something more than what you asked for.

You’re here maybe because you don’t understand the journey anymore. Every day, it gets harder and harder to trust God. The prize seems to be farther than where you think it used to be. And you think that, maybe, it’s okay not to wait anymore. That it’s okay to end here now because you don’t see the point of all these anymore. You also think that, maybe, it’s okay to settle for what you have now since it’s already quite good. But would you trade the best for something that you think is good now?

Child of God, don’t trade what you really want for what is only available now. Why would you settle for something good or better when God can give you the best? You may not see Him moving, but beloved, even in the unknown, He is making all things beautiful in its time.

One day, in His time, you’ll be so glad that you didn’t settle. That you chose to honor this season of waiting. Soon, you’ll be living a life of your answered prayers from days, months, and years ago. And finally, you’ll understand why the fight was so hard. Look forward to this day. So please, hold a little longer.
