The joy of the Lord is our strength

The same God that saved Noah from the flood, brought the Israelites through the desert, shut the mouths of the lion for Daniel, spared Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace, is the same God Who will bring you out of the ordeal you are currently going through.

Now, I am not going to promise it’s going to be easy.

But He will grant you the grace and empower you with the strength to persevere.

Some days it feels as though we don’t have an ounce of strength left in our body.

Let us draw from His Word to build those faith muscles by reciting Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

He is right there. Can you feel it?

He is saying, “Come here, My child. Rest on Me for a while. Let Me ease your mind. I will give you peace in the midst of your storm. Sit with Me and I will restore your joy.”

We have many opportunities to feel agitation and fear.

But worrying does not add one single day. On the contrary, stress robs us of our health and literally steals our joy.

The Bible states that “the joy of the Lord is our strength.”

Let that same joy fill us up to the overflow, so that we can run our race and finish victoriously, knowing God is our sustainer and strength.
